Titans trade A.J. Brown to Eagles and pick up Treylon Burks at No. 18.

The Titans selected Treylon Burks, a wide receiver from Arkansas, with the No. 18 overall pick, a move enabled by a blockbuster trade of the Pro Bowl receiver A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Titans also received a third-round pick.

Brown missed four games last season because of injuries, but was the team’s leading receiver, posting 869 yards and five touchdowns before the Titans lost in the divisional round of the A.F.C. playoffs. In 2020, he was selected to the Pro Bowl after recording 1,075 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns.

As the receiver market boomed this off-season, and stars like Davante Adams and Tyreek Hill received massive new contracts with new teams, Brown did not report to voluntary workouts. Titans Coach Mike Vrabel said earlier that the team would not trade Brown, but the deal with Philadelphia apparently changed their minds. Brown will pair with the Eagles’ second-year receiver DeVonta Smith and become a main weapon for quarterback Jalen Hurts.

Burks posted 1,104 yards and 11 touchdowns last season, and will be a focal point in a Titans offense that leans heavily on running back Derrick Henry.
