A nor’easter disrupted daily life across the Northeast on Tuesday, upending school and work commutes, as rain turned to a slushy mix and then to snow in many regions.
Some parts of New England were braced for more snow than they were likely to get as the storm rerouted itself. New York City was expecting up to 8 inches.
In all, the weather was good news for small children and dogs, who quickly found their ways to parks and sledding hills — but was less pleasant for delivery workers on bikes and scooters.
